I draw and paint pictures, sometimes I also make short films and write songs.
I would like to be described by others as a post-modern extra-linguistic abstract realist. Of late I have been spending more and more time fantasizing about becoming effortlessly and silently successful.
I was born on the 6th of August, 1969, the year of the moon landing, on the day Hiroshima was bombed. It would take me forty-four uninterrupted days to listen to my entire music collection and I am happiest when engaged in some-or-other creative practice. I make a conscious effort not to rationalize my creative choices or process, but do hold a finger-waving opinion on life’s finer issues.
I prefer to work impulsively, with inexpensive materials and work across most media. I live in East London, which is a village in the Eastern Cape, which is a beautiful but downtrodden province of the Republic of South Africa.
